The response to the 30th Anniversary Celebration has been tremendous and tickets are sold out. Please contact Amy Hoskins at amy.hoskins@jcogs.org to be placed on a waiting list. The program with speakers and musical guests will be available for viewing live on line. Your support makes a difference! Show your JCOGS spirit by sharing a message in the special edition Tribute Book. 30th Anniversary Celebration tribute donations and donations to the endowment are encouraged and gratefully accepted. All are welcome to join us for a special musical Shabbat service with the guest musicians on September 6th as we gather together in community. Thank you for your support of JCOGS!
Our colleague Andy Robinson of Beth Jacob Synagogue will facilitate a training session for those who would like to conduct interviews with other JCOGS members on topics such as their Judaism, their relationship to Israel, their experiences of antisemitism, and more.
EDUCATION
SAVE THE DATE! JCOGS annual day at the Stowe Farmers Market is Sunday, September 1st! Bring your friends and family for a wonderful day of music, fun activities, and a joyful hora!
Mitzvah Season begins Aug 10th with Jonah Wohlberg! Come celebrate with our students as they embark on their Jewish adulthood. Let's surround them with loving community. You'll hear some profound Torah wisdom. Please note that RSVPs are required for Adar's mitzvah on Aug 17th. Click here to see the upcoming Mitzvah celebrations.
ONEG B’YACHAD
Oneg b'Yachad is a delightful way to share community each Friday evening. Here is how it works:
bring a plated appetizer or dessert (with serving utensil)
It should be simple finger food
Please bring enough to serve at least 4-6 people.
Communal participation also means sharing in a simple cleanup: wiping down tables, a quick sweep of the social hall, and taking out trash. Let’s work together. Please contact Judith Wine: wine.judith@jcogs.organd let her know you'd like to help.
THANK YOU
*Lynne Gedanken and Susan Bauchner for leading a beautiful Shabbat service
*Shoshana Frieden, Rita Schneps, Marcie Scudder, Debby Sherman, Judith Wine, and for the incredible overhaul of the JCOGS community kitchen this past week.
