Darchei Shalom Cemetery
We think of our JCOGS Cemetery, Darchei Shalom (Paths of Peace), as the cornerstone of our Jewish community in the mountains — a bridge that connects the generations. For this we are grateful to our supporters who see our sacred site as a place to memorialize those who have passed among us. Located on Route 100 between Stowe and Morrisville, this nine-acre meadow overlooks the mountain landscape; stately pines and maples border the main road, with a decorative gate planned to welcome visitors. The cemetery is surrounded by a quiet walking path. A pergola eventually will overlook a natural bird refuge.
Our cemetery reflects who we are as a pluralistic Jewish Community and is available to both members of JCOGS and non-members. Vermont is a special place for us and for many visitors, so we welcome those living outside of our community to consider our cemetery as a final resting place or memorial.
