2023-24 New Membership

WHY MEMBERSHIP MATTERS
JCOGS is committed to helping members find meaning in belonging and in relationship to one another. Community is at the core of what it means to live a Jewish life. We invite you to support and actively help shape our empowered community where members take an active part in social action, celebrating holidays, leading prayers, visiting the sick, comforting mourners, guiding our youth and building supportive relationships through social events and activities.

"When you become a member, you take a stand by saying: my community matters to me. As Hillel the sage said: 'Do not separate yourself from the community.' Each of us matters. And it takes all of us to make a lasting impact."
~ Rabbi David

Your membership dues, your generous giving to the Benefactor Appeal, and your time will support JCOGS — your wonderful Jewish Community in north central Vermont.

Volunteerism

JCOGS will survive and grow only with a commitment of time from our members. Our committees are the bedrock of the organization, and every committee and program requires hours of volunteer time. We need YOU! Please pick a committee or program and commit some hours. Choose to serve the larger community through tikkun olam, promise to usher at the High Holy Days, serve on the fundraiser committee.

We encourage individuals and families to commit to 10 hours of service/volunteerism in one of the capacities below. However you contribute, we promise you will feel closer to our community.

If you have an idea for something that is not on this list, please don't hesitate to send an inquiry or suggestion.  Thank you in advance for your contribution and participation!
