NEW PROGRAM Listening Project Training & Dinner IN PERSON
Monday, July 29, 2024 • 23 Tammuz 5784
6:00 PM - 8:30 PMJCOGSIn this challenging moment for the Jewish community, listening deeply—with curiosity and without judgment—is a powerful strategy for building community.
At JCOGS, we're launching a "listening project" to better connect with each other as members, friends, and Jews. Our colleague Andy Robinson of Beth Jacob Synagogue will facilitate this training session for those who would like to conduct interviews with other JCOGS members. Interviewers will approach our members with curiosity about their Judaism, their relationship to Israel, their experiences of antisemitism, and their thoughts about the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, and future ideas for JCOGS programming. Dinner will be provided.
Join us to learn how to structure these conversations. Come prepared to practice!
