Yizkor, which means remember, provides us with an opportunity to reconnect and strengthen the bonds with our departed loved ones. We hope you will join us in acknowledging and remembering your loved one while also supporting JCOGS through listing their name in the Yizkor Book of Remembrance.

The Yahrzeit Wall in our JCOGS sanctuary serves as a memorial for our loved ones, honoring their memory and including them as a permanent presence within our community.
ONEG SPONSOR
You can sponsor an Oneg in remembrance a loved one on their yahrzeit, in celebration of an anniversary or birthday, or for any other reason that has meaning for you. Your sponsorship will be recognized that Friday evening. If there are multiple sponsors in a week, all sponsors will be listed. We will reach out with more details.

TZEDAKAH

Our Tzedakah committee donated over $5,000 to many local and bi-national Canadian/U.S. organizations in need. We consider Tzedakah to be a vital function and precept of JCOGS and Judaism. As stated in the Jerusalem Talmud: “Tzedakah and acts of kindness are the equivalent of all the Mitzvot of the Torah.”
