Wednesday, February 14, 2024 • 5 Adar I 5784
7:00 PM - 8:30 PMOnline OnlyJoin Rabbinic Intern Emmanuel Cantor for learning and discussion over Zoom about the poetry of Emma Lazarus and its lessons for today.
Although most well-known for her words adorning the Statue of Liberty, Emma Lazarus’s Jewish works offer a window into the history of American Jewish life in the colonial era and beyond. Through her work we will explore Emma Lazurus’s response to both Jewish and global crises, and consider comparisons to our current moment.
Registration is required in order to attend and receive a Zoom link. Please register below and be sure to indicate at least one participant. Although registration is free, donations to support our programs are always appreciated. Click here to donate.
