Poetry for War in Israel and Gaza
Wednesday, February 21, 2024 • 12 Adar I 5784
7:00 PM - 8:30 PMOnline OnlyA repeat offering for those unable to attend the fall session, all are invited to join Rabbinic Intern Emmanuel Cantor for discussion over Zoom about poetry written both before and after October 7th.
While the majority of the poems we will read are written by Israeli Jewish poets and translated from Hebrew, we will also study the work of a Palestinian poet in the spirit of learning and dialogue. Together we explore themes of grief, anger, fear, history, hope, peace, and more-in the lives and work of selected poets, as well our own experiences of the war in Israel and Gaza and its reverberations here in the US.
Registration is required in order to attend and receive a Zoom link. Please register below and be sure to indicate at least one participant. Although registration is free, donations to support our programs are always appreciated. Click here to donate.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
