We invite you to share the spirit and wisdom of Yom Kippur. Join us for prayer, music, and reflection.
10:00 a.m. Morning services include music, prayer, powerful words of Torah, and a community Torah reading. 10:30-11:15 a.m. Parents and young children as well as youth, birth to 10 years old, Yom Kippur storytelling and activities on the JCOGS lower level. IN PERSON ONLY 12:45 p.m. Yizkor Memorial Service: Remembering those beloved who have passed away. 1:30 p.m. Learning session with Rabbi David 2:30 p.m. Walk together on the rec path. 3:30 p.m. Yoga for Yom Kippur: Lite stretching for body and soul.
4:30 p.m. Minchah Afternoon Services, with youth retelling the dramatic story of Jonah and the whale. 5:45 p.m. Ne’ilah Service: The gates close with these final, intimate prayers. Come hear the final shofar blast. Havdalah at 7:11 p.m. to break-the-fast.
Join us at Rabbi David and Alison's home for a short service and some brief reflections on these Days of Awe/Yamim Noraim, followed by a vegetarian/pescetarian potluck (no peanuts or lentils, please). For all-ages. RSVP for the Zoom link or for directions. Please note: there will be no services at the JCOGS building.
All hands on deck for all-you-can-eat tacos and to help build and decorate the sukkah. Please bring schach (organic covering, ie corn stalks or tree boughs).
