Parents and kids gathered for some apple (and pumpkin) picking at Burtt's Orchard on a gorgeous day. Families meet again for Rosh Hashanah Day 1 and Yom Kippur Day both at 10:30AM with Shoresh leader Katie Yoskowitz on the lower level.
CLERGY CORNER
Sing-a-long Shabbat with local musician Brian Leven and Rabbi David Friday, September 19th Come early @ 6:30pm for some pre-vibes—drinks, apps, pizza, and good company. 7-8pm The sing-a-long Shabbat music begins. Stick around after for local craft beer, hard cider, and desserts that hit the spot.
6:30 p.m. Marom, the JCOGS Band brings in the new year as we reconnect with community. 7:00 p.m. Services include poignant storytelling, music, and prayer. 8:15 p.m. The Nosh provides a dessert oneg, the sweetest way to start your new year.
9:30 a.m. The Nosh is open for schmoozing and noshing. 10:00 a.m. Services include music, prayer, powerful words of Torah, the shofar’s call, and a community Torah reading. 10:30-11:15 a.m. Parents and young children as well as youth, birth to 10 years old, Rosh Hashanah storytelling and activities on the JCOGS lower level. 1:00 p.m. Tashlich: cast away the unwanted and seek the better parts of self by the river.
Family New Year’s Experience, Learning, and Dinner Wednesday, September 24, 5:00-6:30pm Parents and kids of all ages learn together about the why, what, and how of Rosh Hashanah. Celebratory family pizza dinner provided.
