From Passover to Shavuot: Ancient Ethics for Today with Rabbi David ONLINE ONLY Saturday, May 31, 9:00-9:45am We make it out of Egypt on Passover... but what's next? If we free ourselves from actual slavery, do we fully leave the slavery-mentality behind? Join this two-part learning journey (one or both weeks) as we dive into ancient Jewish wisdom to unlock what it means to live ethically today.
Climbing to the Mountain Chapel at Stowe Resort has become a tradition for many of us who have participated in Shavuot on the Mountain for the last 10 years. This event offers connection to self, community, ancestry, earth, and spirituality and has something for everyone from adults to toddlers and everyone in between.
EDUCATION
What a sweet morning we had for our final Tot Shabbat of the year! Our little sprouts enjoyed an interactive reading of the classic Israeli story "Eliezer and the Gezer" and then we headed out to the garden to plant carrot seeds for harvesting in the fall. Many thanks to Patti Rubin for everything. Be sure to visit the Mitzvah Garden to watch our carrots grow!
Join us for a very special Shabbat service honoring Priscilla Minkin, JCOGS Vice President. Priscilla has served as a leader on JCOGS’s board of Trustees for over a decade. Priscilla’s contributions to our community include supporting members in need as chesed chair, outreach to new members, successful stewardship of donors to JCOGS’s endowment fund, and so much more.
