Are you ready? Hanukkah is upon us TONIGHT! If you are not ready, let me help you out:
Pick up your candles, dreidels and gelt anytime of day (or night) on Thursday or Friday outside the front door of the JCOGS building.
Each evening at 6p.m., we will be sharing a video from our members. Jokes, songs, memories, even an original rap! Check out the first one on YouTube or FaceBook from yours truly.
If you are a teen, or a parent of a teen (and want to nudge your teen to join), Saturday at 6p.m. is the time to bring in Hanukkah with some games.
THE SERIOUSLY EPIC VT-WIDE HANUKKAH PARTY is happening Saturday night at 7p.m. NOT TO BE MISSED. Already over 100 people registered (and you know, there are those like you that still need to register).
If you are a young family or just plain young-at-heart, we’ve got Saturday morning Kinderlach and Gesher (spin like a dreidel!), and an epic concert by ShirLaLa on Tuesday at 5:30p.m.
Looking for some family learning each night? Here are two guides from the incredible folks at Hadar: one for adults and one for families with children.
Make some latkes! Here’s that recipe you needed right now.
See how I did that? 8 items, 8 nights. Now, you are ready to celebrate this amazing holiday.
May this be a light-filled time for you and yours. We could all use some light, across Vermont, across this world. Hag Urim Sameach, happy festival of lights.
