Fall is in full swing at Hebrew School, and our students are happy and thriving! From holiday celebrations to creative projects and meaningful discussions, each program has been full of energy, curiosity, and joy. We wanted to include some surveys for all of our JCOGS families. They are no more than 90 seconds each! If you have a child enrolled in our programs, check out your survey here! Not sure about enrolling? Have more questions? Check out your survey here!
Here’s a look at the highlights from this past month:
Shoresh Our youngest learners birth through age seven enjoyed four fun-filled programs this month, including apple picking, Rosh Hashanah, Yom Kippur, and Shabbat activities.
Gesher The Gesher group continues to thrive with high energy and enthusiasm. New students have been warmly welcomed, and everyone is engaged in creative activities, including arts, movement, and storytelling. Students are excited about their theme of "Sippureinu" (Our Story) and enjoy the collaborative, hands-on learning environment.
Hebrew Pods With five pods meeting weekly (three on Monday, two on Thursday), attendance includes 24 wonderful students between Mad River Valley, Beth Jacob and JCOGS. Students are actively engaged!
Pre-Mitzvah/Mitzvah This motivated group is excelling in prayer leadership, Torah study, and understanding historical context. Sixth and seventh graders are integrating well, with parents generously volunteering for snacks. Looking ahead, summer 2027 promises at least 11 ceremonies!
Youth Group "Jew Crew" Youth Group continues to encourage cross-age connections. Excitingly, six teens are preparing to participate in the upcoming Civil Rights trip!
Below are some photos from our Gesher sessions on Wednesday afternoons.
Don't forget our survey! For children enrolled, check out your survey here! Not sure about enrolling? Check out your survey here!
We greatly appreciate your feedback! Here's to a great year ahead!
