This year, JCOGS was one of 275+ congregations that came together to participate in HIAS’ (Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society) Refugee Shabbat. It was standing room only for our Friday February 28th service, followed by a panel discussion with experts in the field, moderated by Rabbi David. Read more about the event in the Stowe Reporter.

Join us at the Annual JCOGS Seder, Sunday, April 13, for music and Passover storytelling, including sharing stories of refugees and refugee support. Do you have a story to share? Be in touch with rabbidavid@jcogs.org.
Are you a lawyer? You can help one of the many organizations in VT, including VAAP.
Support local resettled individuals/families. Become “family friends” along with other JCOGS members to people who are settling in Vermont, contact jcogs@jcogs.org.
Red Cards: Come pick up some“red cards” from JCOGS to help immigrants know their rights by distributing them to local stores and businesses. (Ask in the office)
Donate needed items directly to USCRI Vermont (donations not currently accepted at JCOGS). See the full list of items needed. USCRI can also pick up items.
Support the work of USCRIand VAAP, or this creative initiative of Arts for Asylum Seekers, through the Chittenden Asylum Seekers Assistance Network (CASAN).
