The days are now longer, and after a bitterly cold winter, we look forward to rising temperatures, while still enjoying plenty of snow for recreation in our beautiful VT mountains. Wherever you are, I hope you are in good health and strong spirit.
By now you should have received a letter in the mail announcing our Annual March Appeal and the exciting news that generous donors will MATCH up to $10,000 for all first-time donations and increases over donations made last year. For example, if you give 10% more this year, that increase will be matched. If you are a first time donor, your donation will be matched 100% up to $10,000.
The March Appeal is the biggest fundraiser for JCOGS’s annual operating budget and closes the gap in our fiscal year budget. This year our “gap” or GOAL for the March Appeal is $40,000. That is a significant sum to raise and we ask for your help. Click here to DONATE.
JCOGS operating expenses are paid with your membership dues and your donations to our Annual Fund appeals. Thank you so much for making JCOGS a priority through your membership. Our board of trustees keeps membership dues low, significantly lower than other Jewish communities of similar size. Membership dues do not come close to supporting our operating costs each year, including the vital services of a full-time rabbi and all the wonderful programming at JCOGS. We promise a family’s inability to pay dues is never a barrier to membership at JCOGS, relying on your generous contributions to our Annual Fund to help support everyone who seeks to join our Jewish community.
