Dear JCOGS Family,
Hanukkah is a time to celebrate the resilience of the Jewish people and the triumph of light over darkness. At JCOGS, we are thankful for the miracle of light and our ability to gather as a community to celebrate the “Festival of Lights.” We are especially moved to be able to provide a place of joy for Jewish and interfaith families, especially for the children, who express to us how hard it is to be among the only Jewish youth in their school during this season.
Would you kindly consider a donation to help keep JCOGS shining brightly?Donations to the 2024-25 Annual Appeal are a key component of our operating budget and help support educational and community programming throughout the year, including our Hanukkah celebrations. This year we are also asking for increased support as we make some needed improvements to our building.
Without your financial support, JCOGS would not be able to put on free, Jewish community events throughout our region, including: Hanukkah Fun at the Johnson Jubilee, our 12/25 First Night Giant Menorah Lighting, our 12/26 concert and party for our Mad River Valley and Olam Chesed religious programs, our 12/27 Musical Hanukkah Shabbat with "Iron Chef" competition, and the Northeast Kingdom Havdalah Celebration on 12/28.
As we celebrate 30 years of JCOGS shining a light in our region, we are grateful for gifts in any amount. Make your online donation here or mail your check to Jewish Community of Greater Stowe, 189 Cape Cod Road, Stowe, VT 05672. JCOGS also gratefully accepts gifts of appreciated securities and gifts from Donor Advised Funds. Please contact the office at 802-253-1800 with any questions.
Thank you for including JCOGS in your year-end giving. Your generosity helps build community, educate young minds, and sustain a shining beacon for Jewish life in the mountains.
Wishing you a season of light and hope and a Happy Hanukkah!
