Caring for Ourselves While We Care About the World: Towards Individual and Communal JCOGS Action December 3, 5:45-7PM– Chanukah: Light and Resilience with Alison Link (Online Only) Are you ready to make a difference, both within yourself and in the world around you? Join us for a transformative monthly series that blends self-care, spiritual exploration, and community action. Each session will include time for reflection, as well as planning for communal action at JCOGS, where you’ll have the opportunity to contribute your ideas to our social justice projects for our community to engage in as we celebrate holidays throughout this year. We are excited that Alison Link volunteered to facilitate this series, sharing her passion and expertise. Click HERE to register and for a zoom link. We will sit down at the table at 6 pm to share a meal with our community and sing some Shabbat songs at this informal Shabbat experience (this will not be a full service) led by JCOGS member Lynne Gedanken. Bring a vegan/vegetarian/fish main, side or dessert ready to eat (with serving piece) to share. Kaddish for those in mourning will be recited. Just a note: The kitchen will be closed and reheating and cooking will not be an option this week in our JCOGS community kitchen.

Hanukkah Fun with JCOGS at the Johnson Jubilee Saturday, December 7, 4:00pm-6:00pm Come play dreidel, sing Hanukkah songs, and make art for the Festival of Lights. We're excited to be part of this wonderful community tradition in downtown Johnson.
