Community Oneg Annoucement Thank you to all who responded to the Community Oneg Survey. Your responses were shared with the Board of Trustees and are now guiding an exciting new initiative at JCOGS, involving many enthusiastic volunteers.
We learned that what matters most in this community are our connections to one another and the Rabbi, and that people want to be involved. We aim for Oneg B’Yachad- to delight (Oneg) in our time together (B’yachad) by engaging all in contributing to the weekly Shabbat oneg experience.
Beginning on Friday, July 12 and every Friday thereafter, we invite everyone to bring an appetizer and/or dessert to share with our community. Finger food is ideal- more time to visit with each other, less clean up for everyone. It’s all a work-in-progress and we will assess over the summer as we experience Oneg B’Yachad at JCOGS. For more information contact survey coordinator wine.judith@jcogs.org. For a summary of the survey results, clickhere.

Rabbi Replay!
Did you miss the last Shabbat service?Listen or readRabbi David's D'var Torah/sermon titled Summer solstice and the Menorah on the inside of us.
EDUCATION
Camp Kehilah was just amazing. We swam and explored at the river, made music with Degania, played relay races with Arlo, made delicious and nutritious lunches and treats with Patti, wore crowns and buzzed like bees while we listened to stories and sang with Rabbi David, went on a treasure hunt, and so much more. We can't wait til next summer!
The Listening Project
Members of JCOGS engaged in the Listening Project last week, sharing meaningful questions and answers to their relationship to Judaism, antisemitism, Israel, and the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The next Listening Project event will be on the additonal date of July 8. If you are interested in being trained to do similar one-to-one interviews with our members, please contact jcogs@jcogs.org. Stay tuned to get on the list of those interviewed.
