After seven weeks of preparing to receive the Torah, the moment has finally arrived. Join us for a 7pm guided meditation to awaken to wisdom, followed by 7:45pm candle-lighting, kiddush, cheesy desserts, and learning about and receiving the wisdom of the Ten Commandments and the wisdom within each of us.
Last year's Mitzvah cohort NEK (North East Kingdom) contingent met up with Rabbi David at Mitzvah coordinator Amy Rosenthal's home for a sweet, delicious gathering to reconnect before summer arrives.
This Sunday we’re “going up the mountain”! Join us for the 9th annual hike to celebrate Moses climbing Mt. Sinai to receive the Ten Commandments. Meet up is at Mt Mansfield Base lodge and then we’ll make our way up to the beautiful Mountain Chapel, a Stowe treasure, where we’ll share songs with Rabbi David in a joyous parade of bikkurim (first fruits), creative activities with Beth and Sarah, and delicious blintzes by Amy Rosenthal! We have installed a display in support of the hostages. We invite you to please take a moment, next time you are at JCOGS, to look closely at the photos and write a letter to their families letting them know they are not alone. Letters will be forwarded directly to the Hostage Families Forum in Israel.
WHAT GOES TOGETHER LIKE CREAM CHEESE AND LOX? Jews and ukuleles! Do you have a ukulele, a basic knowledge of chords and strumming, and want to connect with others who like to play? We are forming a new ukulele group at JCOGS, the JCOGS Jewkuleles. We will gather to play Hebrew melodies and other inspirational songs for musical Shabbat services and to experience the joy of making music! Open to all ages. Lamoille Pride Event The Lamoille Pride Event will take place on Saturday June 29th from 10am - 2pm in the Northgate Plaza parking lot, Morrisville. The outdoor event will be family friendly with music/entertainment, food, resources, activities, and giveaway items. All event activities, food, etc. will be free to attendees.
Lamoille Housing Partnership &Lamoille Community House invite you to celebrate the completion of the NEW Lamoille Community House emergency homeless shelter! We'll be holding a ribbon cutting ceremony and facility tour on Friday, June 28th, from 10am to noon. We hope you can make it.
