It can be hard to find words, especially the "right" words, to respond to events in Israel and Gaza, and to the reverberations here in the US. As Israeli novelist David Grossman writes in the Financial Times, “Over and over again we say to each other: it’s a nightmare. A nightmare beyond comparison. No words to describe it. No words to contain it.” Join us as we try to find ourselves in what lies beyond plain words—poetry. Together we will gather over Zoom to study translated works of Hebrew poetry that speak to our current moment. Led by Rabbinic Intern Emmanuel Cantor, our learning and conversation will explore themes of shock, grief, anger, fear, confusion and more. Please click here to register and receive a Zoom link.Tuesday, November 7, 7:00pm- 8:30pm
