Film Scholar, Rick Winston, explores the complex history of Jews in the movie business and the Hollywood blacklist: how labor unrest in the 1930s led to the blacklist, how blacklisted writers survived during that time, and what brought the blacklist to an end -- all illustrated with many photographs and movie stills. Dessert and coffee will be served.

Rolling Down the River: Join us for a mellow paddle and I-spy scavenger hunt down the Lamoille River. Meet at Vermont Canoe & Kayak (VCK) in Jeffersonville. VCK will shuttle us 4.5 miles upstream for an easy paddle back. We’ll stop along the way for a picnic lunch (bring your own). Ages 3 and up.
Everyone is invited to join in the fun. Games will include Rummikub, Scrabble, and many more. Bring a vegetarian dish for the Potluck dinner. Desserts and Drinks will be provided.

"Mujeres Fuertes" (Strong Women) is a documentary about self-defense, personal power, and freedom. It is intended to educate audiences about violence prevention tools and inspire people to live with courage and confidence. See the trailer here.
