Sandra Manning Book Release & Dessert: Does the couple that kills together - in books - stay together? That's one of the questions that award-winning Vermont author and JCOGS member Sandy (S. Lee) Manning and her husband, Jim (J.B.) Manning, will be answering about their books, their writing styles, and their marriage at an event at JCOGS on November 15 to celebrate the launches of their very different novels. Sandy writes thrillers featuring a Russian Jewish immigrant working as an intelligence operative for the United States; her latest book, Bloody Soil, involves a neo-Nazi plot to overthrow democracy in Germany. Jim's debut novel, Richter the Mighty, is a satiric political thriller that sprawls from Washington D.C. to Florida to Paris, France when a coke-sniffing president dispatches various miscreants to hunt down his children who've discovered he murdered one of his wives. Join for dessert and a fun evening discussing the books and how two former lawyers became writers for their second act. - Tuesday, November 15 6:30pm-8:00pm
