Dear JCOGS community,
With deep sadness, we write to inform you of the peaceful passing on Saturday, September 3 of Bernice (“Bebe”) Rosenstein, beloved mother and mother-in-law of Jordy Hershman and Diana Lloyd.
Bebe was a remarkable human being, where in spite of life’s hardships, she faced it all with purpose, meaning, joy and service to family and community. While raising her children on her own, she worked for over 40 years as a nurse, while also endlessly advocating for women’s health rights. The family matriarch, she was beloved by her children, stepchildren, and grandchildren as the ever smiling, optimistic, and kind person who greeted them with her delectable baking and cooking. Bebe also contributed her time and efforts generously, including at her local synagogue. An
eshet chayil, her legacy as a righteous, wise, and strong woman lives on as a model for all.
Bebe's funeral will be held in Canton, MA, on Tuesday, September 6, at 10:00 a.m. with more details

Shiva observance at the home of Jordy and Diana (25 Briarhill Road, Sharon, MA) will take place on Tuesday, September 6 from 7-9 p.m.; Wednesday, September 7 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; Thursday, September 8 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.; and Friday, September 9 from 1-4 p.m.
