Please join in welcoming a new baby to our extended JCOGS family, as we celebrate with the overjoyed parents Jaime and Dan Steinhart. He was brought into this world on the 4th of Iyar, corresponding to April 16—this child Max Isaac’s birthday.
In celebration, the bris/brit ben covenant for boys took place at JCOGS last week, with his new Hebrew name bestowed upon him, Yitzchak, meaning, one who laughs. Yitzchak brings great kavod/honour to his family and community, in joy and excitement. In his arrival, he holds the weight as now a 4th generation of Holocaust survivors. Yet in spite of it, his namesake brings laughter and joy wherever he is, l’chayim, as the generations continue to unfold. As brothers Yitzchak and Ishmael found their way towards peace in our Torah, may little Yitzchak find peace and have fun with his big brother Jack, the two of them ushering in a time of complete redemption in this world, G-d willing. May this child grow into a life of Torah’s wisdom, love, and good deeds.
Baruch ha’ba, welcome little one Max! Your entire community celebrates your presence in our community and in this world.
