By now, you’ve gotten your Bulletin, with Mary Estelle’s rather poignant illustration of Zoom services on the cover. The minute we saw her drawing, we knew there was no better way to illustrate what the past year has been like. Watching her — and all the children — during services has been a balm for us in these times. When we watch families dine during services or kids dance to the music, we know that we are fulfilling our responsibility of l’dor vador, passing Judaism from generation to generation.
Also in the winter Bulletin is an article from Marcie Scudder, explaining that she and Bill will donate $180 to our JCOGS annual fund in appreciation of each person who joins our L’dor vaDor Society. Please read Marcie’s article, and then please make the pledge to add JCOGS to your will. In the past year, we have begun to reduce our reliance upon one major donor, a necessary step for our sustainability as a congregation. The only way we will remain financially viable for generations to come is if people commit to supporting JCOGS after they have passed away.
The JCOGS office is currently closed to the public in order to protect the safety of our community. You can reach us by calling 802.253.1800 (office) | 802.477.2550 (cell) or sending an email to jcogs@jcogs.org. Please contact us with any needs.
