Mitzvah blog

Hi, I am Bobbi Rood. I am 71. I live in Waitsfield with my husband Mac, Pippo,
our dog and laying hens RBG, Red, Tweedle Dum, Tweedle Dee, Bianca and Thelma. When I am not preparing to read Torah, I work as an independent psychotherapist. I never went to Hebrew School and girls didn’t have Bat Mitzvahs in my Reform synagogue. It has been a goal of mine for some time, but I didn’t really get serious until last year. I took my first Hebrew lessons at JCOGS. Our teacher was Lynne Gedanken. I love to travel and am going to Israel, another first for me, with the Greater Stowe Interfaith group this April. I like to ski, cook, read and watch movies. I have two grown daughters, Sarah and Allie, who live in far off lands, but will be with me on the big day.
