Mitzvah blog

Hello, my name is Dar. I live in Santa Monica, California and I go to the Realm Creative Academy. The reason we chose to celebrate my Bar Mitzvah in Stowe is because I visit my bubby Barbara for about 3-4 months every year. Plus, my late grandfather, Zalman Stern, was one of the founding members of JCOGS. Some of my favorite activities are soccer, rugby, chess, math, debate, creative writing, song writing, surfing, skiing, hiking, and backpacking. My Mitzvah project is going to be helping to clean the oceans of plastic. Plastic pollution is one of the greatest threats to the planet. I am very excited for my Bar Mitzvah on July 24, which is also my Gregorian birthday.
