Yom Kippur Day

10:00 AM - 7:00 PMJCOGS/the rec path in Stowe/ Online
  • 10:00 a.m.   Morning services include music, prayer, powerful words of Torah, and a community Torah reading.

  • 10:00-10:30 a.m.  Parents and young children, birth to 6 years old, Yom Kippur story time, song, and activities with Beth on the JCOGS lower level*. IN PERSON ONLY

  • 11:00-11:30 a.m.  Youth ages 7-11 Yom Kippur program with songs/prayers, discussion, and activities. With Beth on the JCOGS lower level*. IN PERSON ONLY

  • 12:45 p.m.   Yizkor Memorial Service: Remembering those beloved who have passed away.

*Please note. The playground will be closed during youth programs but open at all other times. Children are welcome on the lower level at all times

Yom Kippur Afternoon

 

  • 1:30  Learning session with Rabbi David
  • 2:30 p.m .   Walk together on the rec path.
  • 3:30 p.m.   Yoga for Yom Kippur: Lite stretching for body and soul.
  • 4:30 p.m.   Minchah Afternoon Services, ​​with youth retelling the dramatic story of Jonah and the whale.

  • 5:30 p.m.   Ne’ilah Service: The gates close with these final, intimate prayers. Come hear the final shofar blast. Havdalah at 6:53 p.m. to break-the-fast.
