Spiritual Practices for an Anxious World + Kiddush Potluck for the Michael Heitner z”l Scholar-in-Residence with Rabbi Francine Roston
Saturday, August 23, 2025 • 29 Av 5785
10:00 AM - 12:30 PMIn Person and OnlineIn the midst of life’s stress, uncertainty, and pain, Jewish tradition calls us to choose life and seek blessing. But how do we tap into healing and wholeness when the world feels fractured?
Join guest Rabbi Francine Roston and Rabbi David for a special Shabbat morning experience grounded in ancient wisdom and contemporary spiritual practice. Together, we’ll explore Jewish pathways to resilience and healing through guided meditation, music, poetry, prayer, and bibliodrama—a creative, interactive engagement with the Torah portion.
Whether you’re new to Jewish prayer or deeply rooted in tradition, come as you are. This is a space to slow down, connect with community, and rediscover the sacredness of our bodies, our breath, and our hope for the future.
11:30am-12:30pm Kiddush Lunch: Please bring a vegetarian/fish dish for Kiddush to share after the meal (no peanuts).
