Shabbat Devarim (Shabbat Chazon) with returning Rabbi Brian Besser + Oneg hosted by Patti Rubin
Friday, August 1, 2025 • 7 Av 5785
6:00 PM - 8:00 PMIn Person and OnlineJoin us in the sanctuary to bring in Shabbat in community with guest Rabbi Brian Besser and stay for the oneg hosted by Patti Rubin. This Shabbat we begin the final book of the Torah, Devarim, which means "words." It is also Shabbat Chazon, anticipating Tisha B'Av, when we mourn the destruction of the ancient Temple in Jerusalem.
During services, we will explore the great power of our words to create and to destroy: how the misuse of words led to exile, and how words spoken in kindness and truth can heal us and bring about redemption. Please stay for a delicious Oneg!
