Mission Statement Conversation with Members - ONLINE ONLY

7:00 PM - 8:00 PMONLINE ONLYDuring August 2022, the Board of Trustees, along with other JCOGS lay leaders, participated in a retreat focused on our community's values and strategic goals. It became apparent that as JCOGS has grown with a full-time rabbi, expanded programming, and a thriving religious school, it was time to articulate this enhanced impact on our members and the greater community.
Over the past months, a committee of JCOGS members engaged in revising JCOGS’ mission statement, which will take our community into the future.
The current mission statement, reaffirmed in 2019 reminds us of JCOGS’ founding and of those who took on the challenge of creating a home for Jews in rural Vermont. Their vision and mission of creating and sustaining an environment that “perpetuates and celebrates Jewish traditions, observances, and a sense of community” has been a success.
JCOGS is growing and maturing, and we are so grateful to those who laid a strong foundation for our community. It is with hope and excitement that the board brings forward a new mission statement.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
