ABOUT GAVIN 
My name is Gavin Murphy. I am 14 years old and I am in going into 10 th grade at Lamoille Union High
School. I have three dogs, three cats and 60 fish in seven fish tanks. You could say I love my pets! I love
cars, trucks and the New York Giants. My favorite car brands are Chevrolet, Honda, Ram, Ford and
Lamborghini. I even got to sit in a few Lamborghinis. No driving, yet! My favorite sports are skiing,
football and soccer. I love to hang out with my friends and my mom, dad and sister Lily. I love to go
camping and be outside. I have the greatest times when I go visit my family in New York. I think living in
Vermont is the very best! I’ve been in Olam Chesed and a part of JCOGS since I was in 2 nd grade. I am so
happy to be having a B’nai Mitzvah with my sister, Lily. I think it makes it so much more special for us to
do this together.

ABOUT LILY
My name is Lily Murphy I am 13 years old and I live in Hyde Park Vermont. I am going into 8 th grade at
Lamoille Union Middle School. My B’nai Mitzvah is on August 6, 2020 with my brother Gavin. I am very
happy to be able to share this special day with him. One of my favorite things to do is play sports. The
sports I play are soccer, basketball, football, and skiing. I love hanging out with my friends and family. I
also love going camping all throughout the summer. I have been going to JCOGS since I was in
kindergarten, so I am excited to take this next big step and be an amazing part of the Jewish community!
