We recently visited Israel as part of the Greater Stowe Holy Land Interfaith Journey. This trip was a truly transformational experience.
Our own Rabbi David Fainsilber, Father Rick Swanson of St. John’s in the Mountains Episcopal Church, and Pastor Dan Haugh of the Stowe Community Church led us on an incredible spiritual, educational and communal adventure that exceeded our expectations.
We all came home feeling that we had deepened the bonds among our congregations – that we are all here for each other in this community – leaving us all with a powerful belief in the strength of our shared history and values.

The Israel trip is a shining example of how JCOGS connects us, and why we want to ask for your support in securing the future of our congregation.
Will you join us in making a generous gift or pledge to the endowment fund?
If you have already made a pledge, we thank you. If you have not yet made a gift, or if you would kindly consider increasing your generosity with a second gift, will you make your commitment today? This is a moment to ask yourself:
How has JCOGS impacted you and your family?
What are your thoughts on building Jewish community?
How can you express your commitment?
When asked to volunteer for the endowment campaign committee, we readily agreed, and we decided to make a personally meaningful endowment gift that reflects our sense of conviction.
For our family, JCOGS is deeply meaningful. We feel at home here. We love the warmth, joy, and sense of welcome. Jewish community has been a focus of our philanthropy, and while we have contributed to larger nonprofits, we realized that a place like JCOGS would benefit even more from our involvement. Now we feel closer to JCOGS than ever.

Will you help JCOGS make an even greater impact now and for generations to come with your endowment gift or pledge?
Your investment today will help JCOGS continue to flourish year after year. An endowment is a permanent fund that generates sustaining revenue over time.
Remember, JCOGS doesn’t only serve its members and it doesn’t only serve Stowe. Through volunteerism, education, events and programs, JCOGS touches the lives of many individuals, families, and communities.
What’s the right size gift? If a leadership gift is an option for you, please consider the opportunities ranging from $10,000-$100,000 or more. If that isn’t in your plans right now, kindly give what you can. Every gift counts, and every gift helps.
With gratitude for your consideration,
Diana Lloyd and Jordan Hershman
Endowment Campaign Committee Members
P.S. Thanks to the generosity of many, the endowment fund is growing. Will you join us now or consider an additional gift?
