In this Omer cycle—from the pilgrimage festivals of Passover to Shavuot—it is traditional to study the quintessential rabbinic book Pirkei Avot, Ethics of our Ancestors. We will look at the Lev Shalem groundbreaking edition of Pirkei Avot (order your own copy, or just follow along during these sessions), from the same editors as our Shabbat and High Holy Day prayer books. We'll also take a few moments to ground ourselves in Shabbat with some brief meditation and mindfulness practices.
