Tikkun Olam Cooking for Shelters

The Vermont Community Foundation awarded a Green Mountain Fund grant of $5,000 to JCOGS to support tikkun olam cooking for local shelters. This grant will allow us to expand our cooking program from twice monthly to every week. Join us in the kitchen every Tuesday at 11:30am to cook meals for people experiencing homelessness in our community. If you are interested in this Tikkun Olam initiative of  cooking for others, click the link above for more information.

Throughout the entire month of November JCOGS is partnering with Pinnacle Ski & Sports, of SkiEssentials here in Stowe, to fundraise for the JCOGS Endowment Fund.  For every purchase made during November at Pinnacle Ski & Sports and Inner Bootworks, 10% of the total purchase will be donated to the Endowment Fund!  You must mention JCOGS when making your purchase for the donation to apply.  Get ready for winter and support JCOGS for future generations.

American Antisemitism – Past & Present with Rabbi Dan Judson

    Wednesday, Dec 3rd 7:00p to 8:30p
In this course we will explore this deeply troubling but deeply fascinating history of American antisemitism, paying particular attention to the present rise of antisemitism and trying to make historical sense of this moment. Even the antisemitism seen today from those who would decry Israel as an illegitimate state and Jews as imperial colonialists that should be shunned, even this idea has its own history which we will explore.
