This Purim, our students will take part in the joyful mitzvah of creating personalized Mishloach Manot packages to share with members of our community. We look forward to welcoming our Olam Chesed cohorts of all ages to join together, with older students helping to guide and support the younger children in this meaningful work.
Together, we will gather for a Purim spiel read downstairs, perform during service, and then prepare Mishloach Manot packages in the sanctuary. There is also an option to make special cards for those in our community who may be on the Moshaberach list and in need of extra care, comfort, and connection.
All are invited to continue making Mishloach Manot packages during the Oneg/Party, after the service!
To help make this project possible, we gratefully welcome donations of the following items. Pre-packaged/wrapped items are preferred to ensure freshness:
Suggested Donation List: Apples, oranges, grapes, or dried fruit Nut mixes (peanut-free, please) Cheese and crackers or healthy snack packs (meat-free) Hot cocoa mix packets Tea bags Microwave popcorn packets Reusable baggies for packaging (all sizes)
All packages assembled will be donated to Lamoille Community House (unless you have a special someone in mind!). If you have any questions, or would like to donate your own basket for delivery to LCH, please contact Sarah to arrange a drop off time. You are also welcome to bring them to the Purim service on March 6 at 6:00pm.
