Saturday, June 4, 2022 • 5 Sivan 5782
6:45 PM - 8:45 PMCome join us in the JCOGS tent to nosh, schmooze, pray, and learn as we celebrate Shavuot and welcome our new prayer book, Siddur Lev Shalem. Dairy desserts provided at The Nosh compliments of our JCOGS Board. All are encouraged to purchase copies of Siddur Lev Shalem for JCOGS or for your home use, whether attending this event or not.
Shavuot is our celebration of the giving of the Torah, and it is traditional on Erev Shavuot to gather together to study and learn. On this occasion, we will launch Siddur Lev Shalem as our new prayerbook. We have enjoyed the High Holiday Mahzor version of this prayerbook for many years, and know how inspiring it is to be able to read commentary, reflections, and poetry relating to the prayers. We have found the Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur prayers and writings to be both inclusive and inspiring. Now we will be able to enjoy these benefits each week for Shabbat and for all holidays as well.
As we welcome this new siddur into our congregation, please consider purchasing a copy for JCOGS and/or for your family at $36 each. You may also wish to order copies in honor of special occasions, or in memory of beloved family, friends, or community members who have passed away. The siddur can be ordered by clicking here.
